Trauma Sensitive Church Training
SUNDAY | JUNE 3 | 12-2:30PM | FIRESIDE ROOM
We want to be a church that walks well with kids from hard places like foster care. This training will empower children and student ministries volunteers and others who interact regularly with kids from hard places with basic training and principles, along with tangible and practical intervention techniques to lead and teach kids from trauma. Hunger Doesn’t Go on Vacation Food Drive

Our food pantry is feeding hundreds of families in our community every month! Even though you may go on vacation this summer, our need for non-perishable food does not. Impact hundreds of lives through filling a bag with food for our food pantry. Get your neighbors involved too! Grab some extra bags and invite them to join you our Hunger Doesn’t Go on Vacation Food Drive.
Friends with Global Students New American Friend Orientation

Just ask any of our current American friends, getting paired with an international student from Cal State Fullerton is a joy! Many new students to CSUF will be joining us this fall and you can be a part of what God is doing through Friends with Global Students. Foster Parents Night Out
SATURDAY | AUGUST 25 | 3-8PM
Foster Parents, drop your kids (foster, adopted and biological) off and head out for a date night, a nap, a movie with friends, whatever you want, while we watch your kids! We will have fun games and activities planned for them while you have some free time. Babysitting is free, with RSVP by Sunday, August 19. Please bring a sack dinner for your kid(s). Friends with Global Students Welcome Party

It’s time again to welcome our new international students to the United States with an ice cream sundae party and fun games! Many opportunities are available for you to impact our international students through volunteering as a table leader, ice cream sundae helper, driver and more! Food Pantry – Wednesday from 4-5pm and Saturdays from 9-10am
Our Food Pantry feeds hundreds of people every month and has become a distribution center for other food pantries throughout north Orange County! Get involved by volunteering during their regular hours, by sorting food in the warehouse, donating canned goods, or through being a driver for our grocery rescue program. The Foster Closet
The Foster Closet seeks to help foster families with basic necessities and more. Foster children often are placed in new homes with very few clothes and toys to call their own. The Foster Closet will be a place where foster parents can receive appropriate clothes, toys, diapers, bedding, and more! Boxes of Love:
Bless a local family in need by donating a Thanksgiving meal! You can even engage your friends and neighbors by giving them a box or a bag to fill with food that you can collect and bring back to RDF for Canning Hunger, a non-profit, to distribute the week of Thanksgiving.

Grab some neighbors, friends, co-workers, and more and invite them to a potluck thanksgiving dinner at your house, front lawn, or wherever, and get to know them a little better!

Solidarity (a non-profit impacting local low-income neighborhoods) creates a neighborhood Christmas store where parents can purchase low cost gifts for their kids in a dignifying way. You can help by donating a toy! We will be collecting toys on the patio on Sunday mornings. There is also an opportunity to volunteer to help at the Christmas Celebration and Store! Help with a craft, games, and more as families shop, and be part of a fun Christmas celebration in the Garnet neighborhood.

The Empowered to Connect Conference features practical teaching in a safe and supportive community as we work to equip families, churches, and professionals to better serve children impacted by adoption and foster care. This simulcast, live from Texas, is ideal for adoptive and foster parents, those considering adoption or foster care, and those who are serving and supporting others, including social workers, agency professionals, church staff and ministry leaders, counselors, and therapists.
