About This Ministry:

Russ was born in Los Angeles, and moved to Quito, Ecuador in 1976 when his family became missionaries with HCJB Global.

Gina was born in Torrance, and grew up in Covina, California.

After 6 years at the Alliance Academy, Russ returned to Azusa Pacific University where he studied Business Administration and Christian Education and met his future wife, Regina.  Russ continued to complete a Masters degree in organizational development and design from APU.  Gina studied Social Work at APU.  Russ and Gina met their freshman year and dated throughout college.  They were married in Glendora in 1987.

In 1986, Russ took a part-time job at a church as the youth pastor, and was then called into full-time youth ministry.  Gina worked at Cal Poly Pomona, then at a home for disadvantaged boys.  Russ & Gina served in 2 churches in the Los Angeles area.

In 1994, Russ and Gina moved to Quito to open Youth World International, a youth ministry training and mobilization ministry.  Youth World continues to operate in Ecuador and focuses on youth ministry development, leadership training and mobilization.  www.youthworld.org.ec

In 2006, Russ stepped down from the leadership of Youth World to form a new organization called Leader Mundial, an organization focused on the strategic training and coaching of global leaders.  www.leadermundial.com

In 2010, Leader Mundial made a formal merger with Extreme Response International.  Extreme Response is a humanitarian organization that works with 34 strategic partners around the world, helping them to impact their communities.  Russ’ role with Extreme Response is to Chair the Executive Board and manage all Partner & Leadership Development.  Russ and Gina co-founded Extreme Response in 2001 along with Jerry and Dawn Carnill.  Extreme Response has offices in Georgia, Quito and Toronto.   www.extremeresponse.org

In July of 2010, Russ and Gina relocated to Southern California after living and serving in Ecuador for 16 years.  They opened a formal office for Extreme Response and Gina returned to school full-time to pursue her license in Marriage and Family Therapy.

The Clines have 3 children:

Rheanna is 23 years old and works with a non-profit in Orange County.

Riley is 20 years old and a Sophomore at Azusa Pacific University.

Raylin is 16 and a Sophomore at San Juan Hills High School.
