  • Health Minister: To encourage and support persons within RDFC who are facing a health crisis or chronic illness by intentional presence, words of encouragement, acts of kindness, practical helps, and intercessory prayer. Health care professionals who volunteer also use their assessment skills to monitor needs, increase awareness, and encourage persons to appropriately utilize available resources and connections available.
    Time commitment: variable weekly, from 15 minutes up to 4 hours, as available.
  • Memorial Service Coordinator: Serve as the liason between the church and family who desire to use the church facilities for their memorial service. Assist with the set up of the sanctuary including flowers, displays, etc…Work with the pastor and/or other individuals who officiate or participate in the service to ensure the flow of the day. Coordinate the logistics of seating of the family, passing out programs, etc.
    Time commitment: varies by service.
  • Memorial Service Reception Coordinator: Serve as the liason between the church and the family who desire to use the church facility for their memorial service reception. Responsible for coordinating the set up, replenishing of refreshments, and clean up of receptions. Recruit, support, and train those willing to assist. Be available to plan, organize and assist in any way.
    Time commitment: varies by service. 
  • Stephen Minister: Stephen Ministry is the one-to-one lay caring ministry that takes place within our congregation.  Stephen Ministers are trained  to fulfill the words of Galatians 6:2, to “Bear one another’s burdens”  by coming along those dealing with a variety of life issues.
    Time commitment: varies, but involves a training seminar, twice monthly ongoing training and a weekly time of ministry.
  • Wedding Coordinator: Serve as the liaison between the church and the bride and groom who desire to use the church facility for their wedding. Meet with the bride and group and others as appropriate, to discuss the details of the wedding. Assist with the set up of the sanctuary, lobby, dressing rooms, etc. Coordinate logistics of the rehearsal, preparation, ceremony, and clean up, working with pastors and/or other individuals to ensure the flow of the day.
    Time commitment: varies by wedding.
  • Wedding Reception Coordinator: Wedding Reception Coordinator: Serve as the liason between the church and the bride and group who desire to use the church facilities for their wedding reception. Responsible for coordinating set up, replenishing of refreshments, and clean up of receptions. Recruit, support and train those willing to assist.
    Time commitment: varies by wedding.
