Special Needs

RDFkidz Special Needs Ministry

The RDFkidz Special Needs Ministry exists to provide a helpful & fun environment for children with specific needs.
We want to help and serve not just these children but YOU, mom and dad, grandparent, or guardian, as you participate in the life of Rose Drive Friends Church.

We want to do anything we can to help any child who faces unique challenges related to physical, mental, behavioral, medical, social, or emotional needs that would benefit from additional support, helping enable them to hear the love of Jesus and fully be included in the mission of Rose Drive Friends Church.

In most settings we use a buddy system where the child is paired with an adult, young adult or high school buddy.
Buddies are provided for Sunday morning first and second service.

You’ve Got Questions? We’ve Got Answers (some at least)…

Do I need to contact the Children’s Ministry Leadership Team prior to attending in order to have a buddy available?
Yes, please do. We want to make sure we have just the right buddy and we want to make sure they have time to be fully prepared to love, and have fun with your child. Please contact Pastor Andy at andys@rdf.org for more information.

What does a buddy do?
Buddies simply act as a helper. They are an additional volunteer who helps to whatever the degree necessary. The primary goal of our “buddies” is to provide an environment here at Rose Drive Friends Church where children of all needs can hear the gospel and begin to see Jesus in a way that is fun, clear & engaging to them.

For what ages are buddies provided?
We will provide a buddy for children ages 5-11 (This is our Elementary Program).
