Dear Friends,
In February, Pastor Dave Asch announced his upcoming retirement from 40 years of pastoral ministry. We are deeply grateful for his faithful leadership over the past 13 years and his heart for Rose Drive Friends Church. His announcement set in motion a season of prayerful listening, seeking and preparation for what God has next for Rose Drive.
As an Elder Board, we are humbled and honored to share that after much prayer, discernment and guidance of the Holy Spirit, we recommended and the congregation officially affirmed on Sunday, the calling of Pastor Chris Conway as the next Lead Pastor of Rose Drive Friends Church, effective July 1, 2025!
Chris has faithfully served our church for over 21 years in a variety of roles, always leading with humility, wisdom and deep love for this community. From his childhood days growing up at Friends Christian School and here at Rose Drive, to recently earning his Doctorate of Ministry from Azusa Pacific University, it is clear that God has been writing this story for quite some time.
Collectively, we are grateful for the many ways God has already been at work and look forward with great hope and expectation to all that He will continue to do. Thank you for your prayers, your participation and your unity throughout this process.
Please join us in congratulating and praying for Chris, his wife, Christin, and their three girls as they step into this new season of leadership and service and faithfully follow God’s call into this next chapter.
