January 2020! Wow!

Because the new year is upon us, the first thing that comes to my mind is change. When you live as long as I have, life presents circumstances that become different as part of the normal routine. I’m talking about marriage, kids, moving, changing jobs, maybe even retirement. But the unexpected and most difficult are accidents, illness, and death.

I love this quote from a devotional I read each morning, “Just Jesus:. Answers for Life”:

“The two things you can count on in life are change and God’s love. If you are rooted in God’s love, you will be able to go through seasons of change without losing yourself.”

Something I’ve thought about as the new year arrives is:. Do I trust God’s love enough to not only help me cope, but to be at a place that I can feel the joy He gives…and let it spill over onto others? Can God help me resume my living pattern, giving me stability even when my world collapses?

Stability! Yes! That’s what I need. I turn to God and ask Him for help. I don’t know what to ask. He knows my heart though. He instills in me what I need to keep on keepin’ on according to His plan. He wants me to let go, breathe, and trust Him.

So, 2020? I don’t know what’s in store, but I don’t need to know. God holds my future… that’s good enough for me!

Jesus, You are Everything and Enough!

To God be the Glory! Forever!
