When Paul enters a city with countless idols, he doesn't disparage the culture. Out of love, he invites people into something they had never heard of before.

The early church was on a mission to spread the Gospel of Jesus to people with all sorts of unfamiliar backgrounds and beliefs. To be successful, the early church would need to branch out beyond what they knew into communities that saw the world from completely different angles.
